How is the price of my trip being formed?

Initially, the YACHT  PRICE depends on the season of the journey.
It is natural that during the summer, especially August, the prices will be higher than in April or September.
We have 4 levels of season prices (from winter to top season).
WINTER              01/01/19 - 12/04/19            
SPRING              13/04/19 - 31/05/19          
SUMMER             01/06/19 - 19/07/19           
HIGH SEASON     20/07/19 - 23/08/19    
EARLY AUTUMN   24/08/19 - 04/10/19
AUTUMN              05/10/19 - 01/11/19           
WINTER              02/11/19 - 31/12/19           

Each season value is subject to additional discounts depending on the duration of the journey and whether you are a "REPeater" (-10%).
It is easy to calculate the Duration discount since it is similar to the trip's Duration:
For 7 days trip 7%, for 14 days trip 14%, for 19 days trip 19% and so on.
For more than 20 days trip, duration discount is 20%

*It is obvious that all these additional discounts accumulated can not exceed a certain percentage of the season’s price.
Something similar, but with different rates, applies to our skipper and hostess since they are not third persons but our permanent partners.

What are our special itineraries?

For those who want everything

Special itineraries refer to those who want to combine sailing with other activities and sports like scuba diving, bird watching, hiking and mountain bike.
Lesvos island offers that possibility so, responding to your demand, we established a cooperation with people who are experts in these fields. Together with them we created some itineraries which can be followed in spite of the obvious difficulties due to weather conditions or other obstacles of a sailing trip. It worked well so far and we try to improve it constantly.
In a "light form" some of these activities can be arranged while our trip. For example, you can join a scuba diving morning in Molivos or Petra, you can rent a bike or a 4x4 jeep almost everywhere and maybe you can arrange a walk with an ornithologist to show you the rare birds of Kalloni's wetland. But for more "professional" approach we do suggest to have a look in our Special Itineraries.
If you find difficulty to shape a special itinerariy, please, just tell us your wishes and we will propose you some tailored accordingly.

For those activities ALTERNATIVE  SAILING has not, in any way, the role of a broker or agency, but is only responsible for the coordination so that the itinerary you have selected will run properly.
So, in any case it will be cheaper if you prearrange them through our special itineraries.
Nevertheless, with the completion of the payment of the basic fare in ALTERNATIVE SAILING (4 weeks before the start of the trip), you have to prepay the  price for booking the activities of the special itinerary.
Without this advance payment the action will be deemed not to have been incorporated in the program of the trip.
If, in case of force majeure, an action does not take place as scheduled or at a later date, its money will be refunded in full.
